A cord to lead you out

Attach a thin cord to the entry point at the main fence, or to a post when you move into a larger house. In the dark, this acts as a way back to the entrance point with speed, just in case of emergency. Remember, always have an exit planned beforehand but in an attack try to use a different exit point from your entry point. Otherwise, you may have to double back through the enemy, but in a quiet infiltration it is acceptable to come back out the way you came in as no one should know that you have been there. Therefore, in an emergency this cord will get you back out of an unfamiliar house and with speed if needed.
